This allows the recipient to either find it more palatable or dismiss it as your opinion, but at least they'll have read it and you've avoided their wrath. Sometimes adding "other readers or critics may disagree with me" or "it may be just me, but..." can prevent a situation from escalating. Of course, one should hope that all writers can accept criticism, however, negative, but it's not always the case (we've all been there!).Katrin Hollisterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04423836057740561946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331959478483357769.post-9687929361909850722014-08-05T14:38:46.897+01:002014-08-05T14:38:46.897+01:00Oooh, thanks for that. Thanks!

I often have trouble telling people what doesn't work in their writing. I tend to gloss things over because I'm afraid I'll hurt their feelings.I think it takes time and practice to get constructive criticism right, but your suggestions help a lot.Livhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16075452528815893903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331959478483357769.post-66864362137806423832014-08-03T22:30:14.400+01:002014-08-03T22:30:14.400+01:00In the land of fan fiction, you can always say, &q...In the land of fan fiction, you can always say, "I'm not so sure this dovetails with canon." It really helps to be able to cite canon when you say this.Jespahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15083427261066367369noreply@blogger.com
